Happy new year, fellow geeks! I hope everyone’s had a wonderful holiday season; we’ve got big things planned for the new year, and hopefully the internet won’t get set aflame anytime soon. I’ve been seeing various printable calendars on Pinterest all of last December; however, it didn’t occur to me to make one of my own until, oh, December 31st. Whoops. As any of you who follow us on Twitter will know, I realized out of the blue that there are no fandom printable calendars on my Pinterest feed and decided to make one, because good life choices. So… I put my newfound Sterek feels aside (and oh my god, can we talk about Sterek) and tossed myself head first into Photoshop and… here it is!
I was originally going to make it a shippy calendar with ships for every month; however, due to time constraints and lack of creativity
and crippling Sterek feels and needing to collect my Marvel War of Heroes and Marvel Avengers Alliance bonuses, it ended up being mainly a fandom calendar with some ships thrown in. Read on for a month by month breakdown of all the designs and a link to download the calendar and print it out for yourself!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably spotted some in-progress photos, such as this one above of the pages printed out, prior to assembly. If you don’t, you’re really not missing much, aside from what I’m having at Starbucks at any given point in time. The calendar is downloadable in PDF form, and all you have to do is print it out onto regular, letter-sized paper (I got mine done at Kinko’s and had them use the third least heavy paper). Once you print it out, just cut along the sides (all the pages are the same size). Trim the bottom off, if you like – use the cover page for size reference. I left the margin at the top for actually piecing the pages together; you can do this in any way you like, really. Some of the possible ways include punching two holes and stringing a ribbon through them, gluing the pages together, or using pretty tape like I did. It’s really up to you!
Now, this calendar is free for download, because I want all of you to enjoy it and have fun with it. I’m only going to ask that you please, please, please don’t use this calendar for commercial purposes (pass it off as your own, sell images from it, or stuff) as that would be just not fetch and I’d have to find you and skin you.
To download the calendar, just use the Pay with a Tweet widget below. Let me know what you think!
